Homemade apple pie

For the dough:

200 g flour
100 g cold butter
50 g sugar
1 egg
1 pinch of salt

For the filling:

4 large apples
50 g raisins
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch of salt

For the crumble:

50 g flour
30 g cold butter
30 g sugar

Preparation

For the dough, mix the flour with the sugar and a pinch of salt. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and mix with the flour. Add the egg and knead everything into a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a ball and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel and core the apples and cut them into small pieces. Soak the raisins in water and then drain. Mix the apple pieces with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt and add the raisins.
For the crumble topping, mix the flour with the cold butter and sugar to form a crumbly dough.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured work surface. Line a tart tin with it and pull up the edges. Prick the base of the dough with a fork.
Spread the apple mixture over the pastry base and sprinkle with the crumble topping.
Bake the apple cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the apple cake from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
